Looking for brunch today and ended up at Bubby's in DUMBO. This part of Brooklyn offers nice views of the Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan Bridge, but little else. Seems to lack the old neighborhood feel that other parts of Brooklyn have. Guess it never really was a residential neighborhood and has only recently gentrified as warehouses have been converted to luxury lofts. After brunch we dropped into Powerhouse Publishing to peruse the photography books and then took a stroll down to the waterfront.
