"Via Con Dios" ("Go With God") is perhaps what many people thought when I told them I was heading to Mexico City for the weekend. God, St. Christopher, or some heavenly power would be needed to protect me in this dangerous megatropolis. However, my faith was in the Mexican people, the majority of which are incredibly friendly, hospitable, and gracious. In fact in previous trips to Mexico I felt more comfortable there than traveling in parts of the US. Anyway, departed JFK at 8pm and arrived in Mexico City a bit after 1am.
