This isn't your father's Boston, or even the one I remember as a kid. The Red Sox are World Series Champs, the Patriots could be on the way to another Super Bowl, and the city is more than ever a shining beacon on the hill. I landed tonight at 8pm and checked into the Westin by the waterfront. This area of Boston has changed dramatically over the past 15 years. The no man's land that was once infested by wharf rats is now a model of urban planning -- all clean glass, steel, and perfectly laid out. Surprisingly I like it. I also like the Legal Test Kitchen opened on Northern Ave where Legal Seafood test markets new dishes for it's local restaurant chain. I treated myself to a great meal of cornmeal coated cod on a bed of polenta with tomatoes. Delicious.
